Sylpheedities
Lately Colin has been hacking on Sylpheed Claws to achieve a multi-threaded IMAP handling, but so far the thing looks unstable for me.
I'm having curious errors (trying with all latests CVS as soon as they were available from SourceForge) when the automatic mail check enters in action while doing some operation in the IMAP folder. The visual effect is really spectacular, because it starts on marking all mails as unread and the folder count increases continuously. From the log appears it tries to mark non-existant mails, I'm sure I don't have 50k mails on my IMAP inbox (right now only about 5k mails). The damage is small but annoying, after removing the unread mark I have now a lot of mails marked as replied (which I didn't reply, of course :)
In other news, I'm still rebuilding the infrastructure for the Debian packages. New versions are coming and I still didn't package anything. This thing goes terribly slow, but with a job which fills the whole day (working for a company is not the same as working for the university) there is not much I can do to hurry it up. I would really like Paul or Gustavo to involve actively in co-maintenance, but I guess they have their lifes too.
I'm truly puzzled about Alfons absence. His blog is down since several weeks now and there was a strange link in his last mail... maybe he's coding the (in)famous C# Sylpheed? ^_^
